I know at least one guy who has a studio here ... hmm, it would be fun to let some other people try it out ... but I barely have the thing set up in the garage!

Some of the pedal dudes will love it, perhaps especially when the velcro sheets arrive and everything is neat as a pin. Our cat used to swipe you if you pet her too much, and sometimes, The Gear Page feels a bit like that. The cat is doing far better, now she just walks away when she's done with attention ... but I'm not sure about the forum.

Of course, I'm not being critical of you, Brian, or Scott or any of the people who run things there. You do a great job of crowd control without being too intrusive.

Ahh ... what the heck. When I get it all neat with velcro, I'll probably put it up there, too.

I have a second set of shelves, and these are for amps and harp mics. I organized and wired these up today, removing one shelf to fit slightly larger amps and cabs. Before we look at it, I think that this photo may be a crisper shot of the pedal shelves.

I did "art up" the amp shelves a bit for the following shots. The old RCA mic on a stand is usually covered, and the other mics on the top shelf usually will be in the wooden box pictured on another shelf. The Champ usually has a cover.

Two Shure mics, my No Name "ugly" mic, my Shure/RCA mic on a stand, and the Voice of Music amp on the first and second shelves.

Wooden mic box and the old Dukane PA amp on the third shelf.

1956 Bell and Howell (Jensen) speaker cabinet, wired to the Dukane and a 1960 or '61 Champ on the bottom shelf.

I love the old amps and mics! I have an old high school friend who's a pretty good harp player. I bet he'd dig a tweed Champ and an old mic, even if for just playing along with the stereo.

You have some very cool old gear.

Thanks. There is nothing like the sound of blues harp into an old Shure mic into my Champ. It has got the blues harp sound ...

I've been experimenting with this set-up more with guitar, but I'll be able to compare the same mic into various amps with harp, too.
