Please show where I said that. Its interesting that's the conclusion you arrived at , because you are doing exactly what your accusing me of. I gave ONLY my opinion . If you find that threatening then maybe its time to reconsider yours.

I'm relatively certain the practice Estaban is engaging in is called marketing. It happens regularly in a free market place. Caveat emptor and all that common sense stuff your grandpa taught you.

Way back when I was a young 'un I did not know a good guitar from a can of tuna. When it came to electrics, I figured the number of pickups determined how good a guitar was.
But I did learn - it seemed to go hand in hand with actually learning how to play the darn thing.
There are a ton of better guitars out there that can be had for $200. And yup, it is funny when some happy purchaser swears that their Esteban Special blows their friend's Martin out of the water. But those folks who are buying Esteban guitars are probably really happy with them. If they keep playing, they too will learn and the purchase of their magical made-by-hand Esteban guitar will become one of those "what was I thinking" things.
If Esteban has a "sin" (other than the whole "El Kabong" thing) it is that he kind of reminds me of the guys who approach you on the street and open their coats to reveal a bunch of Rolex watches they can sell you on the cheap because they don't have to pay overhead or a middleman.

You have acted condesending twords the things I have stated, if that is not being someone with a thought of their own opinion being more important than anyone else, I don't know what is!

Sorry you feel that way. Seriously its not healthy for you to have so much angst . Why don't you do something like this and just let it all out?

And just look at what that big old mean Nasty Esteban did to this poor kid:

Granted he can't play , but he sure looks like he is having fun trying!
Hope that helps Bro.

As crappy as that guitar probably is, it has to be better than what I started on 43 years ago.

Yes. And like the guy in the review said (who I thought played and sang pretty decent) Our beginner guitars didn't come with amps , DVDs, picks, chords and strings.

Lordy - tuners that slipped and action so high you put your hand between the board and the strings. The good old days. Funny thing is though, that some of those P.O.S. mail order catalog guitars we started out with, the ones we could not wait to dump to get a "real" guitar, have become el cheapo chic and are now selling for a pretty penny. Who would have thunk it.
